A 79-year-old man has been tested positive for Zika Virus in Mumbai. In Chembur, Mumbai the first case of Zika Virus has been reported by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. The Zuka Virus positive man suffered from fever, cough, and stuffy nose.
After the test results, they found out about the virus. The Zuka Virus is a mosquito-borne illness, transmitted through the Aedes ageypti mosquitoes that also spread dengue, yellow fever virus, chikungunya, and West Nile virus.
The symptoms are fever, rash, joint pain, conjunctivitis, and muscle pain. And the virus is transmitted through contact with Aedes ageypti mosquitoes.
In 2021 a 24-year-old pregnant woman from Kerala tested positive for Zika Virus. In the same year a 50-year-old woman from Belsar, Maharashtra, was also found positive. To prevent yourself from the virus avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes, and use insect repellent spray.
