Vaping Increases Risk Of Lung Problems In Teens

The latest study shows that teens who are using e-cigarettes are more prone to lung problems like shortness of breath, bronchitis, and wheezing. E-cigarettes contain artificial flavoring along with chemical compounds which can damage the lungs. 

The present medical reports show that 14% of the US youth use this. The resulting study shows e-cigarettes causing respiratory symptoms which have the considerations and regulations of E-cigarettes. 

In 2019 the federal government increased the minimum age of tobacco buying from 18 to 21. And after that, everyone finds a sudden percentage increase in using e-cigarettes. 

Vaping Risk

MD. Dr. Peter Shields discusses the risk of vaping and addresses the health concerns as a community crisis. The symptoms of frequent vaping are daily cough, bronchitis, congestion, and phlegm which are not caused by the cold, breathing shortness, etc. 

The research also shows that other exposures like tobacco products and marijuana don’t show the same effects as vapes. The effects are much more harmful than other tobacco products.

Here are the symptoms which are alarming signs of e-cigarette smoking.

  • Shortness of breathing.
  • Difficulties in climbing the hills.
  • Wheezing and whistling signs in the chest.
  • Bronchitis and daily cough for 3 months.
  • Chest congestion.
